All skiers know that their Sunglasses are as important as the rest of their equipment. Even in the early days of skiing, measures were taken to protect one’s eyes from the sun, snow glare, and weather. Vintage Ski World is proud to offer a number of guaranteed original Bolle vintage sunglasses! Click here to shop for your pair of vintage sunglasses.
These vintage Bolle Sunglasses were strongly endorsed by the triple Olympic champion, Jean Claude Killy. He wore them in many of his photos, looking extremely cool with his signature look. Decades ago, Jean Claude Killy was the Bolle Sunglasses guy! As the ‘cool’ and good looking triple Olympic Champion, from the 1968 Grenoble France Olympics, Bolle was really pleased to have him endorse their Sunglasses.
Jean Claude Killy made these sunglasses a ‘must have’ for skiers around the world. These vintage sunglasses have the classic ‘red, white and blue trim’ around the edge of the frame, which cannot be seen in his photo’s straight on view.
These vintage sunglasses were discovered in the warehouse of the original importer, although this actual import from France was made in the 1970’s. The sunglasses are in their original Bolle packaging too. Endorsed through the years by Jean Claude Killy, the packaging is complete with the Killy sticker.
These 1970’s Red, White and Blue Sunglasses were a huge hit at the Ski Industries of America (SIA) trade show in Denver this year. Richard Allen, the owner of Vintage Ski World shared, “As I wore them around the show, I got lots of attention from everyone, especially the ladies! People were wanting to buy them off my face, but as I only had one pair at the time, I refused all offers.” You too can be the ‘rock star’ of your apre ski group when you show up wearing these cool retro shades!
The 1970’s Cebe Sunglasses are also for sale on our Vintage Ski World website; found with this link. Although not pictured in this blog, check them out while the stock remains. Cebe sponsored of the US Ski Team in the 1960’s and put great focus on the design of their sunglasses.
Don’t miss a chance to sport these bubble eyed Original 1970’s vintage Paraski Goggles on the slopes! Your friends will be asking for a pair too. These are also a fun addition to your vintage collection. Each 1960’s original box has a set of Green and Yellow distortion-free lenses.
Do you remember any of these vintage sunglasses or goggle? We would love to hear anything that you have to share about them.

These sunglasses are well made, with a very nice desgin. When I put them on for the first time while driving I instantly felt the difference in my eyes. Everything was clearer, and there was virtually no strain on my eyes over long driving distances. I am glad I bought them. The only thing I wish was different is the width of the frame. They fit a little snug against my head, but the hinges do flex out so they are not unconfortable. Maybe I have a big head?
